I thought i share this...Im happily married for 5 years, with external ups and downs, but internally we are strong...
It just never failed to surprised me, this things with my husband giving me cards and wrote something thoughtfull for occasions in our life together...
Today at 12 on the dot, valentines day, he came to the study room to hand me this cute card that says:
My Dearest,
Life with you is like a cheessy 80's pop song.
Fun. Pleasants, full of Love, and Unforgettable!
You make me smile everyday.
I give thanks everyday that you want to be my Wife
I will love you always my little valentine
Love your Hubby xxx
The card opens and had all this lights and really loud cheesy songs in it, it cracks me up LOL.
Come on who else want to share what their Husbands/Wifes wrote on your card.

Here is what i wrote on the card for the flowers i sent my wife, "From the man you sleep with"
now if she says nothing......im not that guy :)

I am happy that you have such a loving husband. I am a 60 years old guy and during my early years of marriage, I also used to give such cards and lovely gifts (mostly of Gold) on Valentine's Day but never got any response. I hope you not only share these feelings on net but with your husband too and not like my partner.

When I got together with my b/f we were both totally broke, so we decided not to celebrate valentines day, as neither of us could afford to buy the other one a present. So we have carried that tradition on, we do not celebrate on Valentines day, we would rather save our money for holidays that mean something to us. However I do think it it wonderful that people do still send valentines if that is an important thing to them.

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and I still get her cards for all the Holidays and leave her little notes to find through out the house.

My wife gave me a valentine ,it had divorce papers in it,I thought that was sweet.
