Recently bought gandalf the white staff but it has cracking around the pommel.
Anyone else had similar problem?
Does anyone know how it can be fixed (ie with paint)

paint will be fine i had the same problem and paint worked a treat

I think you answered your own question... paint!
I would say thin coat of paint of the same colour, then build it up till the cracking has been covered.

ivory paint should do the trick.
