It is NOT the same nationwide this year. I am a Tax CPA, so please believe me on this one! The federal deadline was changed to April 17th for this year. You see, the 15th is a Sunday, so then it automatically becomes the 16th.
However, the 16th is a Holiday in the District of Columbia, so the Fed. gov't extended the date to April 17th. Some states comformed with the 17th and some didn't. For example, Arizona did not conform and so theirs is due the 16th. I think NY conformed, but you can go to the State's website to be sure.
