Do (5/2)^2 first, u'll obtain 25/4.
Multiply this number by 2, u'll get12.5.
Multiply -10 by (5/2) which will be -25.
Add the 25 to 14, equal to 11
And at last Substract 11 from (25/2)=3/2

Solve: 2(5/2)^2 - 10(5/2) + 14
*Use the metho called Pemdas which stands for > (), exponents, multiplication, division, addition & subtraction.
2(5/2)(5/2) - 10(5/2) + 14
2(5*5/2*2) - 10(5/2) + 14
2(25/4) - 10(5/2) + 14
(2*25)/4 - (10*5)/2 + 14
50/4 - 50/2 + 14
25/2 - 25 + 14
25/2 - 11
3/2
P.S. The solution doesn't have to be in decimal form, unless your teacher asks you to do so.

2(5/2)^2-10(5/2)+14 = 5(5/2) - 5(5) + 14 = 25/2 - 11 = 25/2 - 22/2 = 3/2.
That's your answer...3/2 or 1.5...

(5/2)^2 = 25/4
2(25/4) = 25/2
10(5/2) = 25
So we have
25/2 - 25 + 14
= 25/2 - 11
= 25/2 - 22/2
= 3/2 (or 1.5)
