Sehwag is an experienced and attacking batsman, who is also capable of bowling economically and effecting breakthrough. He has been a matchwinner for India on many occasions in the past. When he is in form, he can demoralise any bowling attack in the world.

Irrespective of his poor form of late, the player of such talent and potential should not be ignored. Captain and Selectors have kept faith on him with a sincere hope that he will regain his form before the world cup starts and starts firing.

Yeah it is more than necessary to include Sehwag in Indian team, because he is a fast scorer. Since, westindies pitches are slower we can expect some matchwinning contributions from him because of his attcking batting.

When Ganguly having best record of highest wins as a captain, was not selected without giving any chance to prove hius mettle why not Shewag be treated on par? Let himn play domestic matches and improve and then show his talent.

see i agree sehwag is an excellent player...but giving him chance to prove himself for one year and he still failing i dont think he deserves to be in the world cup squad..cricket is nt over for him if he is nt selected.you better try youngster like kaif,raina..so that they will feel that they are given chance.they are much better fielders and as far as sehwag's spin is considered..we have sachin, yuvraj + 2specialist spiners so dont take him as a bowler.

he would averge round 50 yet inspect his form in the previous he grow to be dropped he averged 18.9 in his very last 10 attempt innings. placed that with so similar ODI form and the solid type of both jaffer and karthik means sehwag is on the sidelines
