i think the comparable reason Romney compares himself to Reagan. JFK was a horrible president who probably was not going to be re-elected. We all look back and say how great he was, but read news articles and pieces about him from the day. Not popular.
I am not saying Obama is good or anything, but I also do not want to elevate JFK to "good president" status.
Obama is not presidential material. No ideas, just ideals. He will be someones VP choice.
