They are so good that I have two.
My son loves it soo much that I bought one to keep at his Grandparents.
You need to get a pre-order for one at any high street store that will stock them.

Its not just because Wii are good and innovative. There are other reasons, but they all have to do with economics and retail psychology.
1. economically speaking, although it is in a market which is crowded, for example you can also have the option to buy a PS3 and an XBOX, etc. It is a bit different and a bit cheaper than those. They are a good present for something that is new, its not exciting to get a PS3 right? Its because youve had or seen one before and there is nothing really that new about them. The Wii has lots of new features which are pretty interesting.
2. The other, most important reason is to do with retail pyschology. This means that Nintendo have reduced stock purposely. Yes, by doing this, it has made the product more desireable to the consumer! Do you remember as a kid you went past a store and really wanted something, but couldnt get it because your parent had the money, and the more you couldnt have it the more you desire it, its the same with everything - its just basic human psychology. The more you want a Wii, the more you desire it, research it, ask about it, etc the desire builds up and it also builds up in other people that you speak to - and hence the infection begins.. All those people out there that cant get one warn others about this and ultimately even people that arent interested in getting one are thinking - gee if its sold out, it must be THAT good! I must get one too! Of course, they reseach and find out about it and try to order it, etc and they like the others before them find it hard to get and the cycle continues...
Do you really think that Nintendo wouldnt release more of their consoles if they couldnt?? Of course not! They are limiting the release to build up your desire for their product.

The Wii is fantastic (but gimmicky), and that's why you can't find one - they are selling faster than Nintendo can make them. Ask at a big store such as Game or Toys 'r' Us when they'll be getting their next delivery - then camp out the night before!!

250 is wii, the simple box. 450 is when its bundled with games, or when they sell the 250 on ebay to get the 250, you have to go to the stores when they get them, online i think they only sell bundles fyi, the 250 one comes with everything you need, and wii sports is included.

You should be sensible and pre-order.
I love my wii, not enough good games out yet tho. "Wii Sports" that came with it is the still the best game you can get for it I reckon.

Just keep looking every day at every store until you find one. You would have better luck if you go early in the morning. My mom found one at k-mart, she just kept looking until she finally found one. I heard that bestbuy gets shipments every sunday.

Maybe they are popular. You should have told us where you live. Apparently they have some in Wales in Toys-R-Us stores, not so popular there.
