Do they print money daily? Or is there a set amount that they must go by?

Well, it's supposed to go by the "gold standard" which I believe means that whatever they "print" has to be backed up by gold somewhere in America. But frankly I think that at this point Bush is just printing money like a counterfeiter to keep the economy looking good and let it collapse under the next guy's watch! How else do explain literally skids loaded with literally tons of U.S. money sent to Iraq, just "disappearing". . . totally unaccounted for . . . and no one seems to care. They'll just print more!!!

The amount that is in print is determined by the amount of gold owned by the US and the value of that gold. The daily printing is determined by the amount of old moneys coming in to be shredded.

They replace what has been burned. They burn the money that is all tattered and ruined and make enough to replace it into circulation. They burn it so no one can use it anymore.

That question always seems to amaze me. When someone really can prove wrong that officials govern there own Money then let me know, please. That's my theory!
