Depends on where you live. If I had to guess:
North (New England): 10-12
Mid-Atlantic (DC/Virginia): 8-10
Southeast (Georgia/Florida): 6-8
South Florida: 1-2 (for when you go up North)

When I met my fiance, he owned 1 sweater and 3 t-shirts. Now, 2 years later, he has about 22 sweaters and probably about 50 t-shirts (which he bought most on his own).

depends on how many he likes to own and how many he can afford.....however it is good to limit it in 8 or 10.
