I don't judge them on a small percentage of people from the middle east that cause problems. They have a bigger percentage of terrorists and we have the bigger percentage of football thugs that cause havoc in other countries when it's football season. All of the holiday makers from the UK are judged because of them. If you are ignorant to other cultures and beliefs then you are blinkered in your ways. How can anyone make a comment on something that they know nothing of? As for history? England has had it's fair share of history. At one time we were an Empire that took over other countries and burned churches & temples to the ground in the name of religion. We burnt heretics when a Roman Catholic Queen was on the throne and thousands of men & women were burnt when we had the Witch hunts. Every nation has a history behind it. The news never paints a rosie picture but then it wouldn't be news if it was all sunshine and lollipops. We see the pictures of the killings, the car bombs and the night time fights with the military but that's what happens when nations are at war. I must admit that the Middle East is not on my holiday destination list but some areas look nice but the people look really sad. It must be awful to leave your home in the morning and have that fear that anything could and possibly would happen.

well definately not a peacefull culture full of terrorism blowing up the innocent. Its probably one of the last places on earth i would want to live. I dont hate them and are not afraid of them, just a completely different culture from my own and dont understand it. Not interested either in understanding. I think the majority of people have been influenced by the media over the past 10 years significantly, i just cant remember when i last heard/saw something positive come from the middle east.

I love the food the culture the music and the architecture. The people I have as friends who are from Iran Lebanon and Syria are kind considerate and great fun to be with. When they throw a party ( no alcohol) they know how to have a good time. So I would say I care a lot about them. For those not in the safety of this country I pity and I feel sorry that they are the victims of the minority radicals who are blackening the reputation of a previously well respected people. I wish they would stand up and be counted and get rid of the scum that floats on their pond.

Hello Archea....based on what I see on TV....I feel sad for the continual unrest that I see in the middle east....No....I don't judge "all" based on a few....but I have to tell you....because there are some in the Muslim faith that are bent on killing the "infidels"...it would be scary to get involved with anyone from the middle east, not knowing who they are....It sort of is like...you were told...over against that wall...there are 6 people (they all look the same, but yet they are different)...5 are wonderful people...1 has a knife and he will kill you if he gets you alone...now...go over and choose one person and go down that dark alley with him alone....If you take the chance and choose....there is a possibility of making a life long friend....If you choose, there is also the possibility of dieing tonight...or you can choose to walk away, risking nothing....Tell me...What would you do? I wish it was different...but really...that is the choices I feel we as Americans have of people in the middle east...It is sad...because really...I know...that there are probably like 98% of your people that I would love to know...and embrace in friendship...but it is the 2% that ruins it...I want you to know my opinion is not based on hate...I feel no hate...I do feel sorrow though...it feels like such a loss...it feels as though many are cheated...not being able to fully embrace eachother due to a few...be Blessed...

Well, I think just the same, about people from any region in the world. They are all human + Beings. The first part is with form, while the second part (spelled with capital B) is "sort of the formless essence," that pervades all of Mother Nature's creations.

Shame you let maniacs colour the general view of The Middle East. It's unfair to generalise, of course but seldom do we hear of a good story to convince me otherwise that you much prefer to be kept in a medieval time-warp when the rest of us are forging ahead in the 21st. century.

Think we should let them be, but why are people from the middle east in England launching bombing campaigns against the public? Some of our best surgeons however are from the middle east.

We are probably all the same - we dislike what is happening and do not trust our political leaders. Remember the majority of people mean no harm to anyone else - it is always the minority that cause the problems

They are proud people and I have always enjoyed my time in that area. It is a shame that they let the religious leaders rule. It would be much better if they elected leaders who did not use religion to further their causes. Unfortunately, many are indoctrinated with facts that are incorrect by leaders who are using it to promote there own power.
