This is not true as a principle in human nature as men and women both have egos, and both are capable of acting out their desires, but through a close inspection distinctions can be made. Human social history is very clearly details the difference in roles that are divided exclusively between men and women. There are areas of work, for example, even in the modern world that are considered only for men or for men but his the boundaries between these distinctions and difference, especially in modern developed world, are blurring as the patterns of living in a fast-paced and demanding world are changing. But if we look outside strong influences of market economy and consumer culture that is both demanding and dehumanising, we can still find traditional social structure in place, where men still enjoy domestic, social, cultural and spiritual superiority oven women, where women are still consider to have desire free and more sacrificial existence. The question therefore is a valid question as a part of human social study; the question of superiority of men over women is also a valid in modern cultures as there is much to consider when equal rights for men and women are to be protected and enjoyed.

With this perspective in view we can see that when things are at their most natural the superiority of men over women can be regarded as an issue by an outside observer. And if we consider ego as a common point in human nature that both men and women have and consider the standpoint of your question then we can see that women are indeed superior in a way that might not be ready perceivable by men.

I think women are better equipped, or superior to men, to suppress, or in good terms deal with, the issues of their ego than men are to deal with theirs. The role of women in the creation of mankind, for example, signifies endurance, forbearance and patience, whereas men are known, or are accustomed to, to behave and act somewhat entirely differently. May be this is why there is still abuse, violence and discrimination targeted at women even today, so much so that in many societies the proper right of women are not even recognised.

For that, I do not think that human conscious is developed well enough to be able to see people beyond matters of gender, race and culture. Presently, this is the world where egocentric behaviour in men is more likely to be accepted, and even prised highly, as matters of honour, courage, power and prestige, whereas there is little appreciation for such attributes in women – historically, no one has ever sung of such characteristics as heroic in women. It is more praiseworthy in women if they were able to sacrifice, stay loyal and endures hardships with courage and fortitude on the behest of their men.

I don't desire to come to work, but there is a need, to gain the means, to carry out the desire to look after the family.

Housework, shopping - including clothes shopping - all fall into this 'need' category for me.

Putting needs aside - being single I don't have to do any deed I don't desire - that to me is my superiority.

Without desire in both sexes 'we' would still be much 'lower' in the food chain.

Women have learned to let men think that they are the chasers/desirers of the world.

Watch out, though; appears to me the rules are changing...

How incredibly sad to even think that way.

Think about what the motivation must then be.

Fear of loneliness?

Money?

Resignation?

This you call superior?
