what techniques does Baudelaire use to bring out the beauty in the evil?

(pour faire ressortir la beauté du mal)

i did this question for my uni dissertation. basically, he talks about really really depressing and disgusting things, but he often adds a bit of hope, or a beautiful symbol ( like a swan or something) to describe these subjects.
also you can then talk about the actual poetry techniques which will stop the question being too heavy

good luck...

You could try looking at some of the themes of Baudelaire's poems, such as "spleen". He also liked hair a lot - you could examine the use of hair in poems such as La Chevelure.
