Immigrants to where?
In some places (like New France, now called Quebec), the immigrants were NOT mainly men, so your question is moot.
For other places (like parts of Australia), women were actively recruited in England to go become the wives of the original settlers.

How is reproduction usually accomplished? Families were immigrants, they mated with the native population, but mostly married within their own culture of prior or subsequent females.

Don't know whether you're talking about immigrants or emigrants - you mention both --- but in any case, try "Mixed marriages" as an answer
