I wouldn't recommend a Bearded Dragon for that size enclosure, it is way to small. Something around the size of a leopard gecko would do great and are pretty easy to keep. I would stick with a reptile that doesn't get over 6-7 inches in total length. I'm sure there are some skinks or other lizards available at your local pet store.

Bearded dragons are good but they need more space than this and are not an ideal beginners lizard as their care is more complex than some.
The best to start with is a leopard gecko. If you buy 1 young they get tame and easy to handle (just remember to never pick up by it's tail.)They don't need special lamps or a mixed veg/insect diet like bearded dragons do-just insects(dusted with calcium powder) and a heat mat under half the tank will keep 1 happy.

the ten gallon tank is purely too small to permit for appropriate temperature gradients. The tank can in basic terms get warm or chilly no longer the two like is mandatory. I lost 2 pets to overheating in a 10 gallon tank. i does no longer use it for reptiles. And for the checklist a 20 gallon is extra acceptable acceptable for a leopard gecko.

Tank is way to small for a beardie even a rankins which is a small beardie. Why not take a look at sand skinks or geckos you can get some really pretty little lizards but make sure you read up well first so you know what you should be doing. lizards also need heat and light most need uv light as well.

all you have to do to get the gallon rating of a tank is multiply 18"X10"X10" and divide by 231 and youll get your answer.
its 7.79 gallons so almost 8 gallons
if thats wat you mean cuz if it was 18'X10'X10' thats bigger than most master bedrooms by the way if you got a baby beardie that size would be fine until it got too be about 6" then i would get a bigger tank baby beardies can be as little as 2-3" when born with there tail. plus if you bought a 40 gallon tank for a little guy like that you wouldnt be able too heat it properly.

if you want to go lizards, which you should as 98% of all snake species would be too big for a 10 gal tank.. I would start with the Gecko complex... Perhaps a crested gecko... or a leopard gecko... and go from there

A beardie needs a minimum of 40 gallons so yours is too small.

Leopard geckos would be best suited for that size aquarium. I've been raising and breed them for almot 5 years now They make great pets and are really easy to care for.
