well, skipping your period is one way of finding out. there are planned parenthood clinics available everywhere. they are 100 percent discreet. they give you tests, condoms, birthcontrol, and even prenatal care if you are pregnant. they can have a doctor give you an exam. does not matter how old you are, they will not contact your parents. i hope for the best!!!

Well you can only use guess work with the information you have, ie; are you experiencing other symptoms of pregnancy, sore breasts, nausea, frequent urination, cramping, enlarged breasts, aversion to certain foods/smells, metalic taste etc? Maybe you can calculate your dates ie did you definately have sex around the time you ovulate? You ovulate 14 days before your period so take 14 away from the number of days your cycle is long & that is the day you approx ovulate on. If you had sex 5 days prior to then or a couple of days after then the chances are higher as this takes into account the time sperm can live in the body & how long the egg is available to be fertilised for.
My best advice would be to go to your local family planning clinic. You can find where it is via the internet. They have many doctors & nurses specially trained in this field of work & are a big help to many young women especially. They provide you with a free pregnancy test & advice. They are kind and helpfull people & you dont even need to make an appointment at some clinics.
If you have not had a missed period yet, wait until that time comes & then if it still doesnt arrive go to your clinic. Otherwise the only other way of testing before that is a blood test. Good luck & all the best

You need to take a test but a lot of chemists will do a test 'in house' that you can either wait for the result or go back an hour later-they give you a slip of paper that says yay or nay as regards pregnancy. Usually costs about £5-cheaper than a home test and more accurate.
Pop to a local chemist offering the service, buy a sample bottle and then drop it back in full of early morning 'water' for best results.
That way you have a test result but no 'evidence of testing' lying around, which I get the impression, reading between the lines, was the real problem.
Oh, and if you are pregnant, most doctors will accept a chemist test result as conclusive.

I'd suggest going to a Walk in clinic, look up for one in your area on the internet.
There you walk in, take a number, fill out a form and wait to see a nurse/doctor there they will ask you a few questions such as
When was your last period?
When was the last time you had unprotected sex?
oh and may'be something like have you had an STD test or Are you with the guy you slept with type thing?
Then you get a cup and a toilet to use and then you wonder through, have a chat about the results and then you'll know for sure. If you're not they will ensure that you get appropriate contraception and information needed to prevent this from happening again. May I just say please, if you do not want babies then don't have unprotected sex, Condoms are there to protect you and your partner/future partners.

Well, skipping your period is a very good indicator, but is not always acurate. If you do have your period, make sure that it is normal. Any odd spotting or discoloration could be a key sign. But hun, you really should consider a test. At the very least, go to the dollar store and get one for a dollar and six cents tax. They are made the same way as the ones that cost ten bucks, so they should give you a nice answer.
And now, I hate to be mean, btu If you are ashamed of going to the doctors, then you are not adult enough to handle the proccess of making the baby, and should stay away from sex.
I hope this all works out for you dear, and good luck.

There is no other way of finding out.... you just don't know when it comes to that stuff... you can find out in 4 months whether you are... but i'm sure you want to know now so that you can make a decision on what to do. go out and buy the accurate - pregnant or not pregnant test. The ones that say it. I have trouble reading the others and I didn't know what to think. I spend all that money on something i couldn't read. Once you find out if you are or aren't -(if you are) go to the doctor and make sure and have them do a ultrasound. you shouldn't be ashamed to go to the doctors... you should be able to trust and feel comfortable around your doctor. If you don't you might need a new doc.

If you look at the bottom of the test of all the packages.. the addresses will be the same. Most of them are made at the same labs, by the same companies. It measures Hcg levels in your urine. The name on the box really is not going to change the result. If you are late on your period... answer is a good test and will pick up hcg. I am a big believer in the blood test, only because my levels are low.. 1st pregnancy it was due to low progesterone. You do not need to buy an EPT test. You could buy a store brand for less. Just make sure you are late on your cycle before you test. Good luck.
Clearblue and fact plus are made by the same people.

You can buy tests from chemists that cost less than £5 and are accurate, I used a 99p test as I thought there was no way I could be pregnant and didn't want to spend £10 plus on a test. It was 100% accurate my Daughter was born 10 months ago.
Try:
Any small local chemist
Savers the chemist
Wilkinsons
Or find out where your local Brook advisory centre is they are confidential and wont go down on your records. They wont tell your parents either.
You need to find out sooner rather than later though. Confide in a friend if you need to talk.

You could go to a Brook advisory clinic, it's a free service for young people they will do a pregnancy test for you, and it's 100% confidential. They will also be able to give you advice and options on what to do next if you are pregnant, and free contraceptives if not. You have no reason to feel ashamed about going to the doctors. Your not the first to think you might have an unplanned pregnancy, and you won't be the last. I've posted a link to the Brook website to help you find your nearest clinic. Good luck. www.brook.org.uk/

If you are pregnant then the earlier you find out the better. Can you really not manage to find a few pounds/ dollars to buy a test? They really aren't that expensive.
The only way to know for sure is to do a test. You could go to a family planning clinic and get a test but in my experience they are totally patronising at those places and will look down their noses at you. So best to do one in the privacy of your own home.

you can buy a test at the freaking dollar store. They all work the same, some just test with higher levels then other. You can go to CVS and buy a test for $8.
grow up. you can have sex you can go to the doctors. If you were so scared and ashamed to become pregnant then you obviously wernt ready to have sex. Sorry if i sound rude but its the truth. wait and see if your period is late and take a test.
by the way symptoms mean NOTHING they can be brought on by many other things. If you think to much about being pregnant and the symptoms of pregnancy then you trick yourself into getting them.
