on the middle of the envelope, write down
the name of the recipient on the first line
second line would be for the house number and street name
then the city or province
then write philippines on the fourth line, followed by a zip code. the zip code (try google for philippine zip codes) is very important for easier tracking and delivery. and it has been required by the post.

1. Name
2. Address (Home Number, Street, Village or Barangay)
3. Postal Code before City or Town (Province is optional if a city)
4. Country
Example:
John Cruz
No. 15, 15th corner 22nd Street, Barangay Nazareth
9000 Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental Province
Philippines
or
John Cruz
No. 15, 15th corner 22nd Street, Nazareth
9000 Cagayan de Oro City
Philippines
I am quite shocked that a lot of people here does not know the proper way to write a postal address! I suggest you guys to stop sending emails and do it the old fashion way. Go to your postal office for heavens sake and lick some stamps!

this is how you will write the address: Mr. John Doe 1163 Canada St. Ibayo II, Bagbag Novaliches Quezon City 1116 Philippines you start with the name, followed by the street, then the next line should be the subdivision and the barangay or barrio the next line should be the city and zip code then the country if you put it in this order it will get there because in the Philippines they read the address from down to up. so it will go to the philippines, then from the following post offices to quezon city, then bagbag novaliches. from bagbag novaliches, it will be distributed to different postcarrieres who each have their own routes. makes no difference if you are in canada. the format is the same where ever you are.

Addressing a letter is the same as in most countries. Write the name of the addressee, house number, street name, village, town, city or province. Zip code is not necessary though we have it. If you want your letter returned in case its not delivered, put your name and address at the upper left hand corner of the envelope. By the way, why not use the internet?

First line: Name of recipient
Second line: House number and name of street,
Third line: Name of the Barangay
Fourth line: Name of the Town
Fifth Line: Name of the Province
Sixth line: Republic of The Philippines
Seventh line: ZIP code (yes, they use the term "ZIP", but it's 4 numbers rather than 5 - or 9 - in the US).

I believe that now with the postal codes you do not have to give the province.

First go to the post office nearest to the center of the city, go up to the counter and ask for " Big Ted". They will say, "Why does the chicken peck at the tree?" And you will answer, "I want to send this to the Phillipines." Then they will help you from there.

You can put anything. Chances are, it will never make it to the desired recipient anyway. Use FedEx
