ive seen victor wooten's videos, and now i got lessons off the net and i want to learn and start playing like him. im not using any fancy bass guitar right now and im thinking it is just a typical bass guitar. is this enough to play like him? btw, i dont have cash to buy a new one

If you dont have cash to buy a new one, your stuck anyway!
But when i started playing bass, i had an old Encore,
HUGE thing, when i eventually changed to an Aria proII
later, because id learnt on the 'WORSER' guitar,
my playing jumped up 10 fold!
Dont worry, keep with what you got!

Go to a pawn shop. Once in awhile I'll see something like a Fender Jazz or Precision Bass on sale for a good bargain.
