Is Kim Jong Il a mad man or a genius by possibly blackmailing the rest of the world by refusing to end N. Korea's nuclear program until it gets concessions (fuel, food, etc.) from other nations?

i think he is in a power trip and makes bad decisions. they cannot afford to have a program like this in their country. but if they could afford it then why shouldnt they have a nuclear program ? the only countries standing up against it with any vigour are those with a pretty damn big nuclear program themselves...

mAYBE you are a few months behind but he already agreed to halt his nuclear asiprations and currently N korea are in talks with CHina, S korea and AMerica - they already stopped. the whole nuclear thing was a show to portray their dangerousness - they just want some food, fuel and money
