Click "Messenger" tab on the top of your messenger window, click "preferences" in the given list. A new window will be opened, select the general preferences. In the right part of the window there will be options when you sign out of Yahoo messenger. The 2nd option out of those wud be checked, uncheck this option and you'll be never signed in to yahoo for mobile again, when u'll sign out from yahoo messenger.

You could just leave it switched off, take the SIM card out and sell the phone, or have a new SIM card and use it yourself. Are you trying to avoid somebody?

if u r sign-in from mobile then there is one option MENU, in MENU there is last option of sign out. if u r signing out from there.. is confidentially signed out. No need to do anything else.
