I know exactly how you feel although for me, the worst is to be alone on Groundhog's Day.
An alternative would be for you to mark the day in another fashion. As a service to my friend Marianne, I have performed a search on the Internet and discovered that 02/14 commemorates two other events: National Condom Day (United States) and National Impotence Day (United Kingdom). Cross my heart true...look it up...

This question is disheartening. Take heart. You are everyone's Valentine. When you go out to a night club on Valentine's Day, do you get carded? If so, this is the Hallmark and testament to your eternal youth and beauty. Then again, maybe Mustard 100 is right. Staying home alone on Ground Hog's day is the worst. Would Chuck stay home? Funny answer. He can really cut the mustard.

Sitting at home alone on NYE is pitiful.
Sitting at home alone on Valentine's day has never bothered me in the least! It's just a load of nonsense dreamed up by marketing bots to sell cards and chocolates and tacky single roses in a plastic tube.

Neither. Id rather stay home on NYE rather than deal with the amateur night drunkards who cant control themselves cause they only drink on NYE.
Valentines day is a commerical holiday made by corporations and restaurants to jack up prices and sell you stuff. If you love someone you show them EVERYDAY not just once a year. The flowers and chocolate will be priced at least 100percent more that day, and the next day will go back down 100percent less. If you want to feed into that nonsense, be my guest.
Don't fall for the hype. Be your own person.

Hey if you are ok with it then who cares. Just get you a bottle of jack daniels have some friends over and enjoy. You don't have to be dating some one to have a good time or be classified as not pitiful.

actually I used to feel more pitiful going out alone on Valentine's Day. It's sorta like advertising for the pitiful poster child award.
