Hi Antonia,

I assume you are in the UK.

Unless this combination is offered as a joint honours degree you will have to study them as seperate degrees. Even for universities that do offer the joint honours degrees I cannot see this combination being offered. Food and Nutrition is a science, whereas Journalism would come under arts.

I think in this instance you may have to make a choice, one or the other to begin with.

Good luck

You may be able to find either a University which offers a joint or combined honours course in these subjects, or one which offers a 'pick and mix' approach to subjects (where students select from all the modules available within the uni to build their own degree). But you'll get one qualification at the end of either of these options, not two seperate ones.

You may need to talk to someone at at university which has both degrees, to work out an arrangement. Some universities are really flexible and others aren't. All it comes down to for them is how much $$.

it depends on which unis you are applying to. you can do joint honours degrees in lots of subjects but it depends on your choice of uni as to which combinations they offer. i did a marketing and psychology combined degree which are totally different subjects so they don't just offer similar subject combinations!

you should make an appointment with the careers adviser at the university, they should fill you in on your options.

You need to chat to the uni and ask them.
