Beauty is an unreachable ideal.

Beauty is an ideal because everyone's view of beauty is different, it is not concrete.

Ideals are defined by (History, power, avalibility of products, art.)

“In recent years several psychologists have argued that beauty is a cultural and a biological, in fact universal, that reflects as they say the selection that of reproduction success. Very roughly fertility for women and strength for men. In a series of very important experiments subjects are presented with a series of photographs of faces, some are photographs of faces of individuals, others are digital composites of as many as sixty, individual photographs and it turns out that the more faces a photograph is of, the more likely people are to agree that it is beautiful and in fact there is remarkable agreement in that. The conclusion often drawn is that beauty is shockingly perhaps averageness. Averageness which reflects optimal biological design, health and since evolutionary pressures generally attack or affect individuals that are at the extremes of each biological population, averagness reflects there best possible chance of survival. Its an example I often use in this connection are the wildebeests. The wildebeests that is very, very fast goes first as they have a great migration when they get to a river, they are there, they hesitate for a moment and the others come and destroy them and stomp on them, the one’s that are left behind are eaten by hyenas and the ones in the middle are the ones who make it to the next place where there is grass.” (Alexander Nehamas 2004)

Something that harmonises (I wrote hormonises accidentally, lol) with your belief system. A lot of the idea of beauty we share with everyone else, but some is unique to us.

Mother Nature only gives us clues as to where beauty might be found. Like, she focuses our attention on a particular stranger in a crowded room - we have to do the rest, and she has given us the wherewithall to do it.

Thank you MN.

Beauty can be experienced in many forms; ideas, thoughts, purposes, actions and physical forms all can be beautiful if an observing mind is beautifully poised. Your invitation to explore depth of the question can be a formality, for no mention of beauty can only be just skin deep, and even when it is the eye of the beholder belong to heart ocean deep. Beauty like truth and justice is something that all seek but no one finds in their absolute; without mediums of observation, or expressions, these abstract realities cannot be experienced, or realised. How, for example, one can see justice if justice is not being done, and the acts of justice cannot be seen being performed?

And when things are at their proper place and in perfect order, we tend to forget that there are any elements of beauty in them, as order makes so perfect part of our regular observation that we assume it to be commonplace; we do not question. We are only notice beauty in things when we experience some absence of beauty. Things when disturbed or displaced from their rightful place remind us of how they should be, and then we seek beauty, as beauty is the heart of things that we do not always feel.

A flower, for example, is a thing of beauty just for the eyes of a common observer, but for a keen observer the beauty of a flower can also be felt, as it incorporates the harmonious arrangement of petals, regular and pleasing patterns of colours, shapes and the fragrance, they all contribute to just one singular object of beauty – a spectacle of balance, harmony and symmetry all purposefully put together. All things can be beautiful either in their form or in their function; what connects both form and function together beautifully is the purpose of that thing. The beauty of a flying bird, clouds and that of a flower, for example, is perfectly purposeful. Things are beautiful only when their being is a beautiful unification both form and function

We find it easy to please our eyes with the sights of mere physical beauty – the form, the affects of which can be instantaneous and magical. In this world of fast impressions and quick judgments, we find it difficult and time consuming to reach and experience the depths of things. Besides, we see all around us people inspired by and portrayed by media marketing campaigns, highly professionally and technically produced, and targeted mercilessly at us - notions of beauty, health and personal excellence that we most avidly or thoughtless buy into as if we are hypnotized.

Human beauty mostly resides in human actions. There can be acts of immense kindness in human beauty. We express our inner beauty thought things we do for each other and for the well being of our selves. It is a good impression to take when we see a decent looking person, healthy and dressed properly, as this can inspire us to do the same.

Mmmm that is a very good one. It would all depend on your own perspective of beauty. If two people look at the same painting they perceive what they are seeing differently & therefore interpret it differently. It also boils down to how you interpret what you are seeing & if it is austetically pleasing to the eye

Beauty is your personal character not what is on the outside. Many people who appear to be beautiful on the outside are really rotten on the inside.

It is when you look at someone old and you see that the person is exuding with beauty...
It is the thing you see, in spite of all the problems and trivialities...
It is the one who is beside you even if the person is dying of leprosy...
It is the time when you wake up and you look at the warm sunshine on your face...
It is when your girlfriend wakes up...
It is when your children looks at you and smiles...
It is when you see nature perform it's miracle on undisclosed times...
It is when you see that eating bread is better than nothing...
It is when you give that piece of bread, because someone is happy because of it...
It is the person whom you gave the bread shares it with you... to thank you... and enjoy it together...
It is the time when you see a smile from the face of someone very important to you...
It is the time when you realize that beauty is around you... and you have to clean your lenses to see them...
It is the time when you see that you see only what you want to see and change it to become pristine and simple...
Bruce Lee said, "to see something in its pristine simplicity..."
Beauty is everything and everyone including you and me... ;-)

Beauty is deep within your sole, as outside beauty is not important. It is the beauty of your personality and your sole that counts.
