Maybe suffering is a good thing as without suffering, we would never know how pleasant the living can be sometimes...

We suffer because mostly from our unhappiness. And basically unhappy people like it when everyone else unhappy. There is sort of like a bitterness in people when they see someone is happy and doing things they want to do freely. In sort of speak, unhappy and unfulfilled people feel pleasures if the others suffer and miserable like theirselves. It's kinda like people expect you to fail and fall into something that you really don't like in your life.
Misery loves company. So since that, sufferings seems to be well-distributed to the others as inside our soul we suffer and unhappy.
