What exactly did you see? Were they kissing and holding hands? OR....were they out to dinner?
If you didn't see them kissing and holding hands...leave it alone. Friends can go places even when they're married to other people. Usually for business.
If you say them actually kissing...
Think about what you would want your friend to do if she saw your dad out with another woman. I think I'd want to know so I could help out mom.
Still, you've got yourself in a tough situation.
Perhaps, let your friend know by saying something like, "Jody, I was out at the *** restaurant on Friday night and saw your dad there". Wait a bit to see if she speaks up and says, "Oh yeah, he had a business meeting." or "Oh really...he was suppose to be in Texas"....then you'll know where to go from there.
She'll be disappointed if you end up telling her everything you saw, if he was kissing her. So, be careful how you bring the subject up, but let her know you're doing this as a friend because you want what's best for her and her mom.
This won't be easy. You may want to see your school counselor, but do this without mentioning any names. Just to seek some advice from a professional.
Wish you the best.

Personally I would mention it to the dad.
Dont give him an ultimatum to tell his wife or your girlfriend. If he feels guilty enough he will tell them, or brak it off with the other woman.
You shouldnt be the one who causes the marriage to collapse, even though it is his fault and his alone, you are likely to feel guilty if you force him to tell her or you you tell the g/f mum.
Tell the dad that you dont like being put into this situation by his indisgretion. The rest I am afraid is up to him. Dont push him!

try to talk some sense into dad.telling g/f or his wife will piss off everybody (hurt feelings, mad etc)tell him what u saw and maybe he will put an end to it. It may even be innocent and if you start to blab it will cause problems in their family.I mean if I was to have an affair I wouldnt be out in the open like that.(and i wouldnt have an affair)maybe find him with her and call g/f to meet you there and let her see.

WOW... THAT IS A DILEMMA... MAN I DONT KNOW... I THINK YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR GIRL AND LET HER DECIDE IF SHE WANTS TO TELL HER MOM.. IN A RELATIONSHIP YOU SHOULD BE HONEST IF YOUR GIRL FIND OUT THAT YOU KNEW AND DIDN'T TELL... YOU COULD BE LOOK AT AS A FUTURE CHEATER.. {YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?} SHE WILL NEVER TRUST YOU.. AND THIS THINGS HAVE A FUNNY WAY OF SURFACING AFTER SOMETIME AND YOU ARE GOING TO BE THE ONE, YOUR GIRL AND HER MOM MAY NOT FORGIVE THIS.. FATHER IN LAW IS OFF THE CHAIN.. HE SHOULD BE CAUGHT.. TELL YOUR GIRL YOUR DILEMMA AND TELL HER THAT YOU ARE AFRAID OF HER DAD LOOKING AT YOU AS A BIG MOUTH BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU COULDN'T KEEP QUIET ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU WERE CONCERN ABOUT HER FEELINGS... BUT YEAH YOU HAVE TO AT LEAST TELL HER... LET HER DECIDE WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO. GOOD LUCK.

If you are absolutely sure (and I mean 100%, no-doubt-about-it-sure) that it was (a) her dad and that he was (b) engaged in an affair and not just out with a friend.....you speak to him privately, tell him what you know and give him the choice: either he comes clean or you'll do it for him.

Leave well alone. You could get your fingers burnt. Perhaps him and his wife have an arrangement - which has nothing to do with you.

It's not your place to say anything at all. Let "dad" screw up all on his own. He'll get caught. That way none of the fall out lands opn you.

YOU speak to him first. Explain to him that this makes you uncomfortable. Do not tell her yet. See what he tells you.
If you tell your the bad guy give him the chance to come clean simple ...

Wow! You may want to talk to your girlfriend first. She may want to approach her father personally. The dad will just deny or make you feel bad for knowing. Your girlfriend needs to know and you can share the decision on what to do next together.
