I don't know about that, but the Simpsons are actually very traditional role models. The father goes out to work at a blue-collar job, the mother stays at home cooking, cleaning and looking after the children, the whole family goes to church every Sunday, and so on.

One thing that's always struck me is the incredibly strong relationship between Homer and Marge. Despite both of their many imperfections and the frequent problems they cause each other, they clearly love each other deeply and are committed to the relationship. It's very touching.

The Simpsons went well in the UK and could be the same in the USA and Homer Simpson is the model family man with a respectable job..a wife and family to keep. Last year Matt Groening collected an award for the best childrens cartoon show of "THE SIMPSONS".

I think he is a good father figure.
He always takes the children out
He teaches them about respecting his boss & how important it is to work.
He spends time with them

I would love him as my father
