It has the potential but does it have the will ? We have to first of all address the problems faced by the country like poverty, overpopulation, unemployment, petty politics, terrorism, corruption, lack of basic infrastructure etc. These problems can be solved if we have the will to solve them. We have resources, the manpower, highly qualified scientists and technologist, IITs and IIMs and IISc and AIIMS. Even money is plenty, but distributed in fewer hands. We need the will and the effort and do the correct action to root out corruption and carryout the process of development. All the efforts in the past have been wasted due to corruption at high places in administration and the ministry.

No nation can be a superpower in the modern world unless they are super smart. The nation that produces the brightest engineers, inventors and scientists will be the superpower of tomorrow.

Absolutely no doubt. The key is, Muslims should overcome their religious barriers and integrate in to the main stream. India is surrounded by Muslim countries except nepal and srilanka. If 200+ million Indian Muslims stop thinking as second class citizens and take up their responsibilty in nation building, it will do miracles and a sure path for us to become a prosperous nation. They have to find an out of the box solution to get out of the stereo type.
