It seems we're beating ourselves to death.
If it's true that "A house divided cannot stand."
Will we ever find a middle ground that we all can live with on any reasonable amount of subjects?

We need some serious reform in our lawmaking and the elimination of special interest groups. Everyone believes they need special attention & the selfishness is dragging us down. If we don't find a way to compromise with each other & unite on the really serious issues i can see our country falling apart in the next twenty years.

It was Bush/Cheney who divided us so much with "you are either with us or you are against us." When they are gone, we will heal the heal the divisions and move on. When the president says you either agree with me or you are on the side of the "terrorists," this breeds hate and intolerance between the already contentious parties.
