I always liked long names for first names because the kid can always shorten it down if he wanted to.

I like a short middle name.... he can chose that as his first when he gets older or rather keep it as a middle name.

Names that I like are....

Benjamin (shorten to Ben)
Alexander (shorten to Xander, Lex, Alex)
Theodore (Theo)
Christopher (Chris)
Leon
Aaron
Jack
Harrison
Fraser

I think its better that you looked through various books or names online or chose your favourite names that are from your favourite characters off TV or in books.... or someone who inspires you.

Give the name a meaning... I'd avoid giving my kids names after relatives because I feel its a bit cliched!

I love middle names as it gives you more unique and character too...

eg. There are millions of say... David Jones.

Add a middle name to set him apart like... David James Jones.
I am not saying choose those names???

Some people prefer to wait till the baby is born so they can see his face and decide on a name.

I know you will find the perfect name for your son eventually....
All the best.

Stick to good old fashioned English names. REMEMBER
the Child has to live with it for life!
Consider:- George, Arthur Albert, Charles, David, Daniel,
Percy, Michael, John, Donald, Horace, Ian, Kenneth, Lawrence,
Malcolm, Nigel, Oliver, Sebastion, Thomas, Victor, William,
There you go. Surely something there will suffice!
May your child be blessed with wisdom, kindness and understanding.
