I live on a farm, its nothing like his meat processing plant.
I wonder if they call it farm because is somehow sounds better and disguises what goes on in there.

I am glad someone else noticed that kind, inaccurate term, when those horrible processing plants should be called 'slaughter & dismembering FACTORIES'!!!
Disgusting places. UGH! YUK!

Yes it is a travesty to call Bernard Matthws factory a farm. It's just a processing plant with birds as part of the process. It's revolting and I fail to understand why anyone would ever want to eat battery poultry once they realise how it gets from the egg to their plate.

They want to invoke homely, wholesome images of free range turkeys running free with the wind in their feathers whilst the kindly old tweed jacket-and-wellies clad Farmer Matthews and his buxom wife feed them corn and slaughter them "humanely".
If people knew what his meat processing plant aka "farm" was really like they wouldn't want to touch anytthing that came out of it.
This is why I'm a vegetarian.

i would never eat anything form bernard matthews ever again and its nothing to do with brid flu, the treatement of those animals in in humane, i may be hypocritical as i eat meet but i think even aniamals for eating deserve respect and dignity in life

'Farm' is definitely a euphemism too far! I hate what he and others like him put the poor birds through and I would never buy any of his produce. Yuk.

i know its not a farm as such, but consumer needs require mass porcessing. he shouldnt be allowed to portray himself as some gentlemanly norfolk farmer type, bootiful! i dont think so. shopkeeper theres some defecant in my packet of turkey breast
