He probably appreciates the clothes and DVDs.
How about clothes, a DVD, and flowers or a little stuffed animal this year for a change...

If your boyfriend doesn't like chocolate, and you want to make something special to celebrate your 4th Valentine's Day. Taking him out for a meal is a good thing to start. For the gift, don't worry ! If he really loves you, he doesn't need anyone. But why not going to the cinema and offering him a package of golf lessons or any other sport that he likes... or you could offer him a little travel if he likes to (going far is not necessary and you can find special offers on Internet !)

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade

A "Once in a lifetime" gift box - a day at Silverstone, hot air ballooning, etc. Depending on the gift the price range is £20-£60, so if you're looking for something unique, this could be it. Argos & Boots do them.

Go to www.postsecret.com I read something really cute on there about a boyfriend who is getting there girlfriend a post secret book and putting secrets of there own in there, each secret is something he loves about her. Try that. I think any guy or girl would really appreciate that.
