Its hard for them to use a tooth brush......a chimp could be taught to brush. But most animals have fangs. Elephants have the largest teeth the "Tusk". We have fangs and are classified an animal. It depends if they eat plants and/ or meat. Bacteria present in the mouths with enzymes of the animal species has alot to do with it, their diet, metabolism, breed, species, climate, culture, and the chemicals present in the water they drink. In humans we are molecularly made up of 90% water. The Chemical composure in the food products that are injested, have a toll on the teeth. They say years ago in the middle ages people gargled with there urine to whiten and remove plaque, and clean their teeth. I guess the animals drink, lick their balls(etc), or piss on each other. We eat so much crap, like, candy, snacks, sugars, junk food..... There is so many unnatural things in our society, chemically. I'm surprised our teeth don't just fallout! Check out these sites!

They don't there fangs., But if you open there mouths and lift the gum on the sides. You will see tarter all on the back teeth.
You can clean them buy scraping it with your finger nails and buy brushing. It's hard to get off but that's how the Vet would do it in the office visit.

Cause...humans add preservatives and other ingredients like sugars and starches and other chemicals to our foods which leads to the tooth decay. Animals don't get those sugars and other things we do. So there teeth stay healthy. Well..not wild animals. Domestic animals do cause we feed them man made treats and snacks which also have that in them.

firstly they lack opposable thumbs and therefore the means to hold a toothbrush. animals do suffer from tooth decay and one of the first signs that an animal, especially a carnivorous one, is dying of old age, is that they lose their teeth. some animals like rabbits have teeth that just grow so lucky them.
