The most memorable day of my life is the day that I met my best friend.
There was a huge family reunion, and since I was the oldest kid, I got to go with my mom and my grandparents. It was probably the third day I was there, and we were going to an auction (auctioning off some ancestors' things people had donated) and, because I was in fourth grade, I went and started playing on the playground. There was a girl on the swings, and she invited me to come over and swing with her. We talked and got to know each other a lot. We ended up being best friends on the spot! Anyway, we went to her car (and I remember this vividly) and there was a huge roll of paper in the trunk. So we found a purple crayon and started writing everything that we had in common!

We both had to go home that day (me to my hotel, actually) but we've kept in touch ever since! We're still the best of friends, even though we live on opposite sides of the country.

I hope this helped, I mean, it was my experience, but I thought an example would be helpful!

Luv, Liss

As something different, and could be cute, you might do the day of your birth--you can say it's something people still remember, and your family talks about it. You could say how you were so impressed by it all that you couldn't say a word, and that you were so fat that your mother took one look at you and immediately put you on a strict milk diet..
