i think that one of my really good mates has gone & given his best mate (tom ) my web address & password he says that he didn't give it to him but i no he did cos nobody else would.
i don't no whether i trust my mate anymore cos i don't think he did but then again it has to be him cos no body else wud give my web address or password to tom.
my site has alot of personal stuff on there which is why it has a password on it i just don't no wheter i should trust & believe my mate anymore i want to cos we've been through alot together but i just don't no anymore

I think that you need to sit down and have a word with your mate and ask him why he did it. If he gets all defensive say just explain that you are not angry but you are upset that he would have given out your personal details. Just say that until he is ready to admit to it then you don't know if you can be friends with him again, because the trust is gone. Then leave the ball in his court and see what his response is. Hopefully he will apologise and admit to things, but if he doesn't at least you know what he is like and that he wasn't a true friend
Then make sure that you change the passwords on the web address etc

i'm not sure everyone is getting the right idea about what your talking about and it would be easier for people to answer if you could make it a bit clearer.
is it a web site that you've created and needs a password to be viewed?
if so he had no right giving it out to other people, the best thing for you to do is change the password, and only give him the new one. Put something on the site for his eyes only - so to speak, make it very secrative and if anyone else gets it then you'll know he did it for definate and no amout of i didnt tell anyone will get him out of it.
Also when you have done this test change it again. for the time being i wouldnt trust him and would be very careful what i told him.

Change your passwords and don't give it/them to anyone!
How did/would he have obtained your password/s - at some point you must have given your friend or let him see your password.
The only other thing after changing your passwords is to create a seperate file for your personal stuff and change the attributes by making it HIDDEN - when the PC starts it won't be visible - you will have to then go thru the process of activating the hidden files to view it!

Have you told your password to anyone else? Everyone is a possible suspect.
What would your friend have to gain by giving this Tom character your password?
I think you should trust him until you have further evidence.

firstly, you know you should never give out your password to anyone, enough o the lecture.
Just change your password an then I owuld try forget about it, you will never really know the truth on that one unless certain info is disgussed in front of you or you hear it through the grape vine.
Friends can be mean sometimes.

|Try to set him up.There are some webs that you can easily get the id and password. Change your password and leave it hanging around.when it gets to your friend then you willknow it was your mate who is still giving out your details

I've learnt the hard way never to trust friends. seems harsh but so-called friends have done some of the shittiest things ever done to me for no other reason than sheer pleasure in my suffering. take their word that they didn't pass out your personal information, but be aware and tell them nothing private ever again.

WHY would he do that ? Change your password and e-mail address NOW. ( I agree with "No S"..... don't tell matey that you changed anything. See how fast he figures it out, and how fast he questions you about it. If you have money, secure it !

i think u should change ur password and not tell your mate becuz u shouldnt trust any1 but u dont need to tell him u changed it
