I am writing a script that I hope to produce and film later in life once I attend the New York Film Academy and secure financial backing.

The Universe we used to wonder about is now part of humanities reclamation. It is through wormholes that the Military continues their obsession with space.

The Equis Star Ship carrying BC a black commando and some space tourists along with a Ripley character encounter a core space station devoid of life. They dock and discover that the platform has been depressurising every 24 days i.e except from the isolation suites the whole place has been cleaned by trhowing everything out into space. They discover plasma burns on some of the ship whilst they transit it to their destination.
The Ripley character shocks the audience by reversing what you expected from such a character so early on. She now looks only after herself and leaves the crew at the mercy of the energy synced creatures on board.

(I will develop this and please do not have any illusions that I intend to have a copycat Ripley from Alien and Aliens. The whole point is that the audience feels they know what to expect and their views are quickly changed. The energy synced creatures are Aliens and this script does not become too Sci- Fi nor does it become horror. It retains the principles that made Aliens so succesful that whilst having complex ideals the screenplay retains the immense fear and action needed. The rest of the script is not fleshed out but I wanted a general idea of what people think and how I can devlop it? There are some brilliant lines but I cannot publish them as of yet

You can't use the name Ripley. I'm sure that was Sigorney Weaver's name in the Alien Trilogy. Ripley is offlimits for sci-fi now as it will forever be associated with her.

Audience likes a hero.. and others to have character strengths and weaknesses/frailties. I'm not sure I'd wanna see one of the main characters do a runner just as things were getting interesting. Everyone has to die... either heroically, devoured, accidently, or survive a few near misses and come out the other side. Also its good when characters can use intelligence, and plans, to defeat and win through against the odds... not just brute force.

keep it simple:
1. Rescue team go to abandoned space hotel Hilton
2. Good looking actors are first to be killed of by unseen evil
3. Not so good looking nerds find nest of flesh eating quantipeds
4. Female lead nerd and boyfriend fight off aliens while everyone else dies
5. Boyfriend is killed by queen quantiped in climax where they plant big *** bomb in nest and run like hell.
6. Female sole survivor shuts down hotel and walks off into distance where the claw of the queen twithes and a screech is heard in blackout.
