Who's got the best fans, the Kop & the best team song? Liverpool. So why does everyone keep going on about Man Utd as the best ever British Club?

Unlike some people I will answer your question. I will not use specific games or seasons to put forward my case.
Liverpool are without a shadow of a doubt the most successful British club ever. 18 league titles makes them the most succesful English side ever. 5 European cups makes them the most successful English/British side ever.
Liverpool won 4 European cups in 8 seasons when they dominated English football, whereas Man Utd dominated English football in the 90s with only 1 European cup.
Typical - one guy has answered your question - all he's talked about is Saturday's game. Typical Yahoo answers answer.
If you were looking to determine the best ever Brazilian club team, American club, Italian club, Scottish club, etc what would you look for? You would look for who won the most league titles & European/South Amercian cups.
The Kop, worldwide is by far the most recognised football stand in Britain.
Best fans are hard to compare. However, as atmosphere goes Anfield has been proven to have the best atmosphere in England. Even Man Utd's manager has admitted that it has a more intimidating atmospshere than his club's stadium.

I'm a Gooner but the Liverpool fans deserve credit. They practically won the CL final for the club with their half time singing, who needs a team talk, huh!!! & even though ye were 6-3 down to the Arsenal in the Carling Cup all you could here was 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Respect

I'm a Man Utd fan but must admit that the last time I was at Anfield the atmos was electric - but to say you've got the best fans is a bit of a bold statement. One of my best games was actually a Burnley v Cardiff game a few years ago (talk about passion). But, you've not been to a game like what they have in Argentina. I've been lucky enough to see a Riverplate v Boca Juniors match and that was just off the scale, unbelievable tension and animosity between the fans!!

Real Madrid technically have won the most european cups, but ok, if we're talking British clubs, then you win....
Best fans? Good fans, Celtic are better. I was at Anfield a few months ago and was shocked at how quiet you were. When you got going, it was good, but it was far too quiet for my liking! Pompey fans are much more deafening
But let's face it, you might be a bit biased
But the guy below obviously didn't grow up as a kid in the 80s like I did, when Liverpool won everything!!

Liverpool WERE the best team in england. see the caps on the word WERE past tense as in not any more now it is chelsea as they are the current holders of the Premiership title.

i dont, history is irrelevant...u can always have memories but u have to look forward & liverpool are a good couple of seasons behind man u, chelsea & arsenal...the new cash injection will help if rafa can attract the right type of players...but he will have to get rid of some of that cannon fodder that plays for u at the moment......ps, ur song is old hat & bores me too tears...
