Excessive use of porn is an addiction, much like alcoholism or drug abuse. It has nothing to do with how satisfying the person's own sex life is. Therefore the partner of the porn user should not take the blame or think they are somehow at fault.
The way to go, if your partner is addicted to porn, is with some good old tough love. Give him the choice: get into counselling or have a nice rest of your life with your porn - on your own.

I know that all men don't look at porn, I happen to be one. But at the same time I honestly do not believe that those who do are bad in any way. Porn I believe in a way is a fantasy that men and women have. Its a way of living in a dream world, where you can have or be anything you want. I believe if it is viewed as a form of entertainment there is nothing wrong with it. I also believe that if you took an interest in it yourself, with him you would find that he became less and less interested in it, and more interested in you. Make it fun, make it exciting and let him know that you enjoy it as much as he does. I bet he puts the book down and pays more attention to you than he does to the magazine or movie.

Erotica has been around for thousands of years; it wasn't just created with the invention of the camera or the VCR. Both men and women have enjoyed additional forms of arousal; it is not strictly a "male" phenomenon.
Just because men might (and I emphasize "might") be more visually oriented/aroused than women, the ladies have been reading "romance" novels for years.
Any solid, well-balanced relationship in which both partners are getting their fair share of sexual pleasure is NOT threatened by erotica, unless one person has some sort of self-image issue - thinking that the only sexual pleasure in the relationship should come from them.
Another issue very closely related to erotica is - obviously - masturbation. Now, why should something so personal, so very simple and basic, suddenly disappear just because the two people can now enjoy intercourse?
Masturbation - for most people - is not an inferior, "second-hand" form of pleasure. It is unique in its own way, just as oral is. Couples that are secure and satisfied with their sexual identities do not require each other to suddenly abandon all forms of self-pleasure.
The only people that feel "threatened" by erotica or masturbation are those with personal insecurities.
Otherwise, it is just a matter of personal taste and preference.
Men and women who enjoy erotica are not weird, sick, perverted or any other negative thing.
Some folks just have a very narrow definition of sex.

I am not a man but a woman who looks at porn and I am sexually satisfied by my husband. He thinks its perverted. So I tell him you married a pervert and I laugh. For me I need more than the physical sex. Looking at a naked man's erect "johnson" is a big turn on. I got caught in my aunt's bathroom looking at a playgirl magazine when I was 5. I was just curious. NO, I wasn't molested. I love men and I love sex. I don't cheat on my husband and I don't talk about the porn in front of him. I respect him not to offend him. I don't think it is cheating. I am just a natural born perv. I got it honestly:)

I think Holden hit the nail on the head -- How would the men who look at porn feel if their wives enjoyed looking at naked men all the time. That's what it comes down to, no matter what excuse is made, they are getting their kicks looking at other women.

Well! Isn't this the ever popular question!! :) Firstly, I honestly don't beleive ALL men are like the above described... But for the ones that do, just because it is COMMON for guys to do it, doesn't make it "completely normal" and okay to do... Single guys - GO FOR GOLD, i'd prefer they be holed up in their rooms watching others have nookie and playing with themselves rather than out screwing around with anything that moves and spreading goodness only knows what! - BUT married and attached guys! - what are you silly bastards thinking!? If the woman you're with no longer does it for you, do both of you a favour and admit it and move on, if it's just a case of a little boredom, SPEAK TO HER!! Try some new things, be a little adventurous!....
We females understand that the mere male will never understand our complex emotional issues - but surely even the densest of you can understand how your desire to look at other girls bodies, (those of which are so airbrushed and full of silicone they may as well be that blow up doll under your bed) might make our insecurities ( which we ALL have) just a little more prominent.
How about taking your girl - the real one with those soft squishy REAL boobies, that you wake up next to in the morning and know her name and her favourite food - how about taking her to bed tonight and showing HER how HOT she is to you and how much you love her! Chances are she'll repay the favour ;-)
As for you poor ladies out there with guys like these - once is his mistake, twice is yours.

I THINK IT IS THE WAY WE ARE BROUGHT UP. IT IS KIND OF A SAFE ROUT FOR US INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE CLUBS AND LOOKING OR STARING AT THE GIRL NEXT TO US WE FEEL LIKE WE ARE NOT HURTING ANYONE IN THE PROCESS. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WATCHING A GOOD SKIN FLICK WITH HIM AND TRYING SOME NEW THINGS IT REALLY IS HEALTHY FOR BOTH OF YOU OTHERWISE THINGS DO GET BORING AND MOST GUYS WILL NOT TELL THERE WOMAN THIS FOR FEAR OF REJECTION OR UPSETTING YOU THIS WEEKEND RENT A MOVIE MAYBE YOU WILL LEARN A NEW THING OR TWO. HAVE FUN.

It adds spice to my sexual act in my bed!
YOU should also look into the porn magz and porn stories to see how to make your hubby more and more excited both in physical attraction and actions.
As simple as that!
All the best!
