Lets say the end time is here and God gives everyone a second chance to so that they can go to heaven.
For the gay person he asks for them to turn straight/For the straight person he asks for them to turn gay. You can't only say you changed your orientation, but actually have to change in the sense of relationship, sex, the whole deal...
Would you follow God's wishes to make it to the kingdom of heaven, or would you continue your ways and go to hell?

I'll go to Hell and have sex with the Devil. I hope he doesn't wear Prada.

Seeing that I consider myself bi-sexual, I wouldn't have a problem either way. (Though I'm agnostic so I'm not really sure heaven exists and I *know* hell is a hill/mound in Israel) However, being married, I would have a difficult time with being asked that question. The idea of not having my relationship with is heartbreaking. After all that the idea of heaven (as we are taught). is happiness and joy? So if following "God's wishes" meant leaving my husband of ten years, my rock, my confidant, my soul-mate, then I wouldn't be happy. I'd be in hell whether I was in "God's" hell or my own personal hell.

From the perspective that I currently have on sexual orientation (meaning it would feel just as "icky" then as it would now for me to try to go against it), I'd say that God's pretty much a jerk to be asking that of me, and that he's therefore not the all-loving omniscient, omnipotent and all Good Judeo-christian God that people tend to think of. As such, "hell" probably wouldn't be the same concept that we think it is either. I'd probably take my chances.

I'm gay and I'd make it out to the hell if that's what it would take to remain gay. Neither for heaven, nor for all the tea in Britain would I want to be something different;)

I can’t change my sexuality. I wanted to be straight the same as all my friends. I done everything in my power (prayed, looked at straight porn) and nothing worked. You are disgusted at the thought of gay sex and there’s no way you could force yourself to get turned on by men. Well it’s the same for me, only I can’t force myself to get turned on by women. God couldn’t “ask” me to do something that isn’t in my power to do. If God said “he’d change me" that would be different.

i thought there was no sex in heaven. anyway, really...um...i'll go for gay and heaven, not coz it want to go to heaven but coz I don't see much point in discriminating about gender when you love someone. of course, this is provided god finds perfect match for me. I'm straight and single and have problems finding someone so unless god intervenes there...

I suppose first I would ask God why he's suddenly changed his mind about the way he made me.

I'll tell you what....you worry about your afterlife and I'll worry about mine. Over 90% of the people don't believe in your god and of those I can see few who haven't sinned. My guess is that you are gonna be really lonely.
