You need monochromatic light sources to do this.

Standard Laboratories tend to have-:

Mercury Lamp
Cadmium Lamp
Sodium Lamp

Any of these are fine.

For specific spectra though from other material you can get a piece of that material and ignite it and then view the spectra through a Spectroscope or similar instrument.
