You can download from the internet. It's depend on what type of sound card is it, Soundmax or Realtek. Maybe search engine google can help you find them.

The #1 thing to do before reformatting, is to write down everything listed in the Device Manager, ie... video card, modem, sound card, network card.
For example under Network adapters, I have a "Broadcom 440x 10/100 Intergrated Controller" listed. If I needed to reformat, I now have this information at hand and don't have to guess or ask anyone any questions.

If you don't know what kind of audio card you have, then you will need to pull it, and look on the card and find the model number. Now all you have to do is look it up on the internet, download & install the drivers. Oh... be sure and save these drivers on disk or CD so you'll have them if you need to re-install your OS again. You OS "sees" your audio card, all it wants now is the drivers. If you see a big yellow "?" or a "!", then you need drivers.

u can use a number of different drivers to work the audio it doesnt necessarily have to be the exact make if u have any audio driver discs at all give them a try but if they dont work uninstall them through either device manager or add or remove programs if this draws a blank, then u need to find the make of motherboard (if it is onboard audio ) or the make of the audio card and then browse for makers webpage and u should find that they will be available to download. maybe this should be your first course of action, but if youre unable to identify the audio make then try the fist steps

control panel>audio and sounds>hardware tab>right click the device used>properties>driver tab>check out the driver and try to find the download through internet

or just put the motherboard cd to boot again
