Sorry, too tired to translate all of this into Port. I went to Brasil in 1978. I was just looking at my slides that i took then and have some marked Festa do Juninho and i was in São Paulo. Don't know if that has any significance other than just to me. I don't know why i was there or who i was with. I knew at the time, and of course, you don't think you're ever going to forget this moment and these people, but I have. It looks like it was a fun time, and there was a hillbilly wedding. Any ideas? Thanx!

Hi jama!

"and there was a hillbilly wedding" :) This is the key for the answer you look for.

It´s a celebration that is part of a great popular brazilian folk party, called here as Festa Junina (something like "june´s party" - or "party that happens in june)

It´s celebrated all over the country durring every june, and the main theme is the "hillbilly way of life". In these parties we have special food, like popcorn, corn, peanuts candies etc, and some dance or theatrical presentations, like the wedding you saw back there, in1978.

Nowadays, this party is mainly took part at schools, for the comunity arround, and at some industries and churches, also for the comunity.

I hope I had helped you.

Bye,

Marcelo
