What is the meaning of "NTFS" and "FAT32" File systems? What is the difference between the two? Which one is the BEST file system to use for home pc?

Aramaiya ... See my link below. Usually, NTFS is better than a FAT-based file system. However, some much older versions of Windows do not support NTFS.

for home pc anyone ll do......but ntfs is recommended.
i suggest write "ntfs" and "fat32" in the help center of windows XP.
there u ll find everything u wanna know....

The weakness of FAT32 is max file size support is less than 4Gigs, on the other way NTFS can support more than 4GB single files. NTFS also support compress drive, so no doubt NTFS is better than FAT32.

fat32>windows 95,98,2000

i suggest ntfs system

NTFS ( new technology file system ) we use it for secure files on the pc or network .... winNt win2000 win2003 winxp win vista .
FAT file alocation table dos win3.1 win3.11 win for workgroub win95 . (no secure for files)
FAT32 win 98 wi me win2000 win2003 winxp win vista
(no secure for files)
