you just have to answer for the questions put by the therapist. in order to elicit information from you, the therapist may ask you some embarrassing questions and you should not feel that he/she is pOKing his/her ugly nose in to your private life. is ok even if you weep.

I know that seeing a therapist for the first time may seem aquard, weird, frightening for some. It's alright. It's the therapists job to make you feel comfortable in the situation, not yours, so don't think about it
You don't have to know anything before, but you might want to go through your own thoughts about what you would like to tell him/her, and what you will be there for
It is good to think about how you want to express yourself aobut your issues, so you won't feel a loss of words when you are there. Take your time, and let the therapist do his job - which is to help you. You don't have any obligations towards him/her
It is ok to cry, of course. But you don't HAVE to cry either. Do whatever feels natural.
Just don't worry about anything.
Good luck =)

Of course it's ok if you cry! Crying is a great release for all emotions from happiness, sadness and anger. The most important thing about a therapist is to make sure that you feel comfortable and you get a "got vibe" off them. It should be someone you feel you can trust. Not all therapists are good and not all therapists will be for you - its a matter of finding the right one for you. Trust your instincts and good luck.

Just be yourself at your first therapy visit and be honest and the therapist how you feel. Yes, it's ok to cry, show anger and let out all the emotions you have been holding inside. Talk therapy really helps depressed people or people with unresolved issues. You should be proud of yourself for seeking help. You will be a better person for it.

The most important thing is to be yourself.
Be sincere and offer any information he wants. Crying, if it comes to you, is absolutely OK. He needs to know your true self ,so to get the best out of the therapy, do not hide anything, do not pretend something you are not.
All the luck
