The Earth rotates counterclockwise. This makes the Sun appear to rise close to the East and set close to the West. The Moon orbits the Earth and appears to rise in the East and set in the West.

Earth moves from west to east and sun from east to west. Due to earth's rotation over it's axis and revolution around the sun one side is in light and the other side is in total darkness at the same time. The moon is always present in the sky. Being an artificial satellite,At night, as it does not have it's own light, takes the light from the sun. so, we can see it.

hi tanzi,
you know that the earth rotates in its axis
the sun is stationary and the rotates on its axis and revolves around the sun
when it is day the earth is facing the sun and night facing away from it
and the moon doesnot go any where
the sun is too bright that is why you cant see the moon or stars just like when the car coming opposite flashes light on your face you cant see things around
