It sounds as though you've downloaded malware (software that reports your private information to a company or another server, and they load popups or similar annoyances on your computer).

Two good programs are Spybot (1) and Ad-Aware (2). You will need to download them both, install them, and update them. Only use one at a time though!

If you don't have any antivirus support, I recommend doing an online Panda virus scan (3) first, then getting the free antivirus called AntiVir(4) OR Avast(5) (use only one! DO NOT download them both) . It's always best to do an off-the-computer virus scan, that way you don't potentially seal the viruses in when you install the antivirus.

Hope these tips help.

I had this problem as well with IE. I downloaded the Firefox browser that is better because it does not have errors and you can open pages in tabs which is better. I have placed in the source box where you get a free download direct from Google. It is at the bottom left of the page.

This is what we called 'browser hijacking'. Use the above solution. Or, you can use the other browser such as Mozilla Firefox and Opera. They are better than IE anyway.
