My son is an archaeologist.
He studies how our ancestors lived through the evidence they left behind. He finds this evidence by digging on sites which have been located through various means - aerial photos, geophysical surveys, legend about an area, surface finds etc

It means nothing in English. If you mean archaeologist, it means a student of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of physical remains.
