Hello everyone. Here is some background info. I am 23 years old, and NOT sexually active.

i got my period on october 19th. Then i got it on nov 20th. Then i got it on jan 4. The month of december i skipped b/c i was under a lot of stress. Then i got it on Jan 4th and now on Feb 6th. all of my periods were normal, however the one on Feb 6th, which is still going on now, the blood color is rust color like brick red or maroon. My period is also lighter than usual.

is it old blood from when i skipped a month? why is it coming out now instead of in jan when i had it. all the other dates my period was normal (normal flow, color). i am NOT on birth control pills.

IS this normal???

At least im greatful that the doctor thinks im freaking out for no reason. makes me less stressed and less worried.

but my period is supposed to end within the next 2 days, and the blood is still a rusty/brownish color and it looks like whenever i wipe myself i get like tiny fibers on the tissue...is that just the lining that is shedding and i just didn't ovulate??? I had all the symptoms of a period though (cramps, bloating, etc) (sorry to be so explicit)

Really thisall depends on some things. Your body when under stress does some rather crazy things.
ask your self:
Are you a healthy weight
Are you eating correctly
Maybe it isthe Stress
do you smoke etc ect
Enviromental factors can possibly wreck havock on the body, If you are really concerned then go to a doctor.

Relax girl! The color of your bleeding is not serious and no it's not old blood from before.

When blood is red it is oxygenated and usually in heavy periods that you see this color. When a period is light there is more time for the blood to lose it's oxygen and the color can become less red a brown shade of rust. This is most usually seen in a lighter period, so all is OK with you!. Stress has obviously caused the erratic nature of your periods, but once you relax I am sure things will settle down for you.

A lot of it really depends on what age you were when you started gettting your period. I have had irregular peiods since I was 12. So, irregularity is normal, yes. But, my cousin once had a period last for 4 months. Turned out to be something wrong with the inside of her uterus. I'd reccomend seeing a doctor about it. They may not be able to do a pap test because you are still on your period, but they could still consult you.

Good Luck!

Up till now consider normal, can take one or two days more, but if stayed any longer then u have to check out with your Gynecologist.
