You can try reaching out to them. Try to get them to seek the applicable help, but ultimately you can’t “make” them care for family. Only that person can decide to “care” or not.
They may never care so be prepared to carry on with life without them part of the picture.
Ain’t no “magic bullet” answer but the realistically the best. (based on info given)

Its a long term treatment for such type of guy.
I) Try to councell him with love and care.
2) Put some pressure through friends and relatives.
3)Give him last and final call
4) Kick him as softly as he cares for you.

simply ignore and proceed in the given right path. dont go away from that person. be with him and ignore . A day will come he will start to realize and care for u.

may be that person needs lots of love from that family to change his / her mindset on that family :)

instead of neglect that person,you put more attention on him/her,take care of her more than before,if that person can realise that you are too caring then he /she will be a caring person like you.

If you stay in you-owned home, push him out and if you stay in his home, push him out. If you love him not to leave you, push him out and if you want to push him out, love him.
