No. There are no Required Vaccinations for travel to Tunisia unless you are coming from an area with Yellow Fever.

Typhoid is only a recommended vaccine, but not necessary, especially since 99% of the population drinks bottled mineral water - although there is nothing wrong with the tap water either. When I moved from America to Tunisia I didn't take any vaccines and I was/am fine.

You can read all the latest info on the website for the Centers for Disease Control. http://www.cdc.gov/travel/nafrica.htm#vaccines

Hi Mrs podgy, Good morning to all of you,
No,it's not really necessary to have such vaccination,I'm Tunisian, and I'm working in the tourism sector.
If' it's necessary your travel agent should have mentioned to you,as he is supposed to take in consideration all the warnings & advices for travelers recommended by the World Health Organisation.
Mean time Mrs Hassen pointed out for you a good site where you get some informations about traveling in to North Africa.
Tunisia is a safe place, hotels, restaurants, and so are constantly controled by the Ministry of health.
The water from the tap is also safe and drinkable, but we always recommend for our visiter to drink bottled water as they are nt used to it,also you may evoid ice cube for the same purpose.
Welcome to tunisia and have a nice holiday.
