Emus can walk backwards just as cassowaries, ostriches, and rheas can. They don't do it very well, no bird does, but they can do it.

Snakes can't go backwards but they don't walk. Kangaroos, wallabies, euros, pademelons, bettongs, potaroos, wallaroos and quokkas - close to fifty different species in different families -can't walk backwards.
