As far as recipes for a six month old go, this is all I can come up with -
Peel and steam or boil fruits or vegatbles (try apple, pear, apricot, plum, carrot, potato, pumpkin, broccoli, sweet potato, peas or zucchini) until very soft then puree, either with a fork, blender, or food processor. For banana, mango and avocado, just mash well with a fork. Try combinations like - apple, pear and apricot, pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot, mango and apple.
Once they are use to this, introduce white and red meat and fish. Cook them really well then puree.
Dairy products are also very nice, though do not give them eggs or anything with egg in it until they are 12 months old. Custard (either home made or bought) and yoghurt is yummy mixed with fruit. Cheese can be melted through meat and vegetales dishes. White sauce can also be used.
To bulk meals up, add rice cereal, semolina, porridge, or well cooked pasta or rice.
Think of the food combinations you like and try them, for example -
- banana custard. This will not freeze and remember that banana discolours when left out. Best made fresh and only enough to eat that day.
- chicken soup. you need cooked chicken, carrots, potatoes and a little bit of celery. put all ingredients in a suacepan with a little water. once veg is well cooked, cool slightly then puree. add noodles if you'd like. this can be frozen for later meals
- mashed potato, peas and fish
From six months, baby can really eat what you eat minus the seasonings and as long as you can puree it.
I hope this helps.

mashed carrot & sweet potato - my little one loved it. Any veg mushed up and fruit. they also can have things like tuna pasta bake pureed and bolognaise etc
Ice cube trays i say to you - cook it up and freeze it then you can defrost a lump or two at a time.
Have fun and expect mess - its a learning experience and they will want to play with it.
